can you visit America or Canada while waiting to be tried at crown court?

It is really down to conditions which will have been put in place and to which you must adhere to.

Yeah, course you can.......well, unless your Bail conditions say something like: "Not to leave the country" OR "Not to visit America" OR (Guess?)

Yes as long as it doesn't contravene any bail conditions, you can go to Mars for all they'll care ( as long as you come back of course).

Possibly not, if they knew. The Americans certainly.

I don`t know about the US. Innocent until proven guilty and all that. You wouldn`t have been convicted yet. There`s nothing on Canadian immigration forms that asks about convictions.

If you were awaitng trial you must have been arrested , so you could not use the visa waiver system.

Not true Eddie, I had to go to trial and I was never arrested.
