I am wishing to set up a facebook page in response to another facebook page which aims and comments I disagree with.

I would like to take a screengrab of comments on the page I disagree with, repost the image on my own page and pass comment myself.

I am ok to do this with the original posters identity? Do I have to blitz out their identity? Or is there anything else I should be aware of?

yes - you need to be aware that by doing this 1) you sound about 14 and 2)you will let people know that whatever it is is upsetting you, and you don't have the tools to deal with it like an adult
Why not just post your comments on the page where the comments you disagree with have been posted?

Thanks, although that doesn't answer my question. Whilst I consider all opinions as valid, I was looking for a legal answer.
i think it depends on the sort of page it is and the sort you want to set up.

whats it about?

if its just about football or something and you hate their team then i doubt anyone will care what you say.

but if its personal and you intend to insult and be horrible about them personally - under the guise of addressing the comment then yes block out the name.

and yes why cant you just reply directly to the comment? why the need to copy it to another page?

to be safe i would block out the name - because you are asking for trouble otherwise.

and yes you sound about 14.

Really, some people just don't have enough to do in their lives.
