I have to have a basic crb. In the past I have got 2 tellings a off from the police and wonder if these are "official " cautions:
1) about 9 years ago parked (accidentally!) on some MOD land. So officially I guess I was trespassing. Police officer took my car registration and my address but I didn't have to sign a pad nor was I issued with one (he wrote my details on his pad though)
2) about 6 months ago got a telling off for parking in a disabled space in my road. Police officer visited, we apologised and she wrote our details in her pad which I think we had to sign (can't recall 100%)
Did you go to a Police Station, were you interviewed, photographed and fingerprinted, were you offered a choice of accepting a caution or going to court? Did you accept a caution and sign for it?
If the answer to the above is No, then you've not received a caution, so nothing to show up!
Thanks baldric! I've been googling like mad but was still worrying as I wondered if the examples I gave could've amounted to a "simple" caution . I guess not. Thanks a lot. i never went to a police station just spoke to the officer at the scene in both cases. I just worry about these sorta things. A lot.
Oh dear B has clearly been a naughty boy in the past.
Neither 1 nor 2 counts as a caution and so sleep well.
Dont park in disabled spaces they are reserved for obvious cripples such as myself.
and as for parking on MOD land I am surprised you are in possession of all your fingers.....
Ah Peter with ref to the mod land I plead "guilty as charged" however... With ref to the disabled parking space there were "mitigating" circumstances ... As the neighbour concerned used to "allow" the other neighbour to park there every single day whilst said disabled person parked on the other side of the road !( rumour has it that they rented out the parking space for a nominal monthly fee. I was sooooo mad as this takes the pxxx out if genuinely disabled folk but when the copper knocked I had to hold my hands up as officially of course I knew not to park there.
