Car Insurance After Being Banned
My daughter is banned from driving at the moment...3 years for drink driving..
We had her on our insurance so she could use our car...when she finishes her ban,can anyone give us some idea how much our insurance is likely to go up...I know it will be a lot... but would like to know.

Think teenager think lots
I think everyone knows I get driven around because I am an ex-drink driver. IN 2000, I think I was quoted 2-4000. So much that it was worth paying someone to drive me so that the 'premium' goes into the local community
She should do the course - drink awareness. 'I have addressed my drinking behaviour.' (Abby ER) is a useful catch phrase and if she can that is even better.
Three year ban = quite squiffy
Bear in mind that teenagers have mind blowingly high premiums

Oh dear!
Insurance companies have different risk types - and you'll get refused if you ask many with that history much as I would if I approached Saga (older drivers).
There are specialist insurers that cater for such cases:

Dont take this the wrong way, but lets have all the facts before usefull advice can be offered please. Drink driving you said -DN10 or higher. And now an IN10 no insurance possibly a speeding as well from your discription?, dangerous driving. Whatever, it must be a totting up TT 99 to get a 3 year ban. Did she have permission to take his car?
My advice is Your current insurer is your first call. She wont be the first banned driver they have spoken to, believe me, they do it everyday and wont be shocked.
3 or more new convictions at a new insurer will often be an automatic decline.
