Technology Is Getting/already Got Complicated!!!!

My mother from time to time will call the DVD player a CD player. I used to laugh at her lack of knowledge but recently it has started happening to me!!
Everything seems to be bloody complicated! You need this cable to connect to this and that cable to connect to that. When you do buy a cable you then discover you bought a female when you should of bought a male. Grrrrrr!!!
So today all I needed was a Ethernet cable simple enough but to make sure I asked 2 staff that if it was the correct cable (they were young and therefore, I thought would be more technologically minded). When I was at the till I luckily mentioned this, thank goodness as I had been given the wrong cable!!

I have got more tech savvy as I've aged, so much so that I built my own PC a couple of years ago, it was surprisingly easy.
