Inspired by another thread I have had some weird phone calls along the way. There was one chap who phoned to ask how would I like seven inches....
Seven!!! I shrieked....Seven inches??....good lord have you been to the doctor or the hospital? Why would I do that?....he asked...slowly....
Well, I replied....I hear they can do little extensions nowadays if that's all you have to offer... ;-)
He didn't call again....x

I think heavy breathing has gone out of fashion or is that just me! I only get requests to take part in some ruddy opinion poll.
well done gness
apparently that is the way to get the little blighters to stop

my landlady in Salisbury in 1969 was rung with:
what colour knickers are you wearing today
and replied.... goatskin of course what do you think....?
and she didnt hear from him again
I once worked on a hotel switchboard and our unflappable supervisor took a similar call and said" oh that's about the same size as the wart on the back of my neck" caller hung up, she had an answer for everything.
We used to get a lot of phone calls for the Forestry Commission (their number was similar) One guy asked me to recommend trees suitable to plant in a few surplus acres he had, I took a few details from him and his budget and after careful consideration I recommended "Wooden ones"
My flat mate had a call from a weirdo who asked can you guess what I'm holding in my hand. Her reply was if you can hold it in one hand I'm not I'm not interested.

Phone you later then, Psybbo ;-)
.

At my local hospital, they transposed the phone number of the department for confimation of appt,

with the effect that a whole load ( weeks worth ) of nursing mothers rang the private no of the bomb squad confirming their attendance

Yippee
LOL.
Not a phone call, but i had a lorry driver stop and ask if he could have my phone number. I said, "no. I'm using it."
When my mate worked the night shift on airline reservations, she used to get a guy phone up who was obsessed with adults wearing nappies. He used to ask her if she was wearing one and what it was like etc. If he got one of her colleagues on the line, he used to put the phone down and keep ringing back until he got her. One night she played along with him and said yes, she was wearing a nappy. It must have frightened him to death because he never phoned back again.

I love theses quick answers that the caller is really not expecting.
Similar to Ratter...many, many years ago my phone number was in the Directory as Probation Service. Nothing I could do would make the telephone people...whoever they were then..or the Probation Service do anything about it. Phone calls at all hours from people in trouble...one a reverse call from a runaway in Wales.....many in a day. So I began to make appointments for these people...always at Corby Probation Services at the same time.....then it stopped.
I think the heavy breathers have seen their day too . I had a spate of one many years ago . I asked my brother what to do and he sent me a police whistle and I blasted it down their lugholes :)
Excellent Gness ! :)
well you can just buy them now (phone sex) so no need to phone random strangers.

That'll teach you Tony....:-) x
Good thinking though, gness.
I think it is more to shock someone rather than phone sex.
