You *might* be awarded compensation by a criminal court for assault, but this is unlikely to be much. If you went down the civil route, there is LOTS more information required (type of injury, duration of injury, prognosis, loss of earnings, impact on the job market etc) and far more than could be dealt with on here.

have you beem to your local housing department to seek help for homelessness and to report you were illegally evicted? in england, a housing authority would be interested in helping to prosecute any landlord who evicted someone in this way. any more details on how/why you were evicted and what type of tenancy you had? and what about all your stuff etc? more info would help.
I TOOK MOST OF MY STUFF BUT RETURNED FOR THE REST TO FIND IT HAD BEEN BINNED! ALSO I ENDED UP MOVING BACK TO MY FAMILY IN SPAIN AS I WAS TOLD THE ONLY ACCOMODATION WOULD BE A HOMELESS UNIT WHICH I DID NOT FANCY AS I HAD VERY VALUBLE ITEMS! I STORED MY STUFF SOMEWHERE UNTILL MY FLIGHT! I WAS NEVER CONTACTED UNTIL RECENTLY WHEN I FOUND OUT I WAS SUMMONED TO COURT!
