Are Magistrate Court Hearings Public Record Proir To Sentencing? I.e. When Case Was Adjourned?
Hi all!
I would like to know if I am able to look up details of a recent court hearing in Bristol Magistrates Court that took place this month but was adjourned until 4th Dec as a pre-sentencing report is to be made?
Is there a library/system that keeps this information? Is this open to the public? is it online? If I was to phone the court would they be able to tell me about what charges an individual was facing? and the outcome?
Thanks for taking the time to read and respond.

The charges faced and what the defendant pleaded guilty to ought to be available to you by ringing the court; these are matters of public record, in that, had you been present in court as a member of the public you would have heard them and if a local paper had printed them you could have read them. It would be a bit rich if the court refused to tell you, in those circumstances.
But I don't know of any records of past trials and convictions that are available to the public, as though in a public library.
