My Flat Building Being Knocked Down.
2 Answers
Bought a 2 bed flat 7 years ago and have been renting it out since then.
I am now moving into it this weekend. I Run into the neighbour in the hall way who says a construction company are knocking down the building later this year to build new ones, have you received your letter yet? I reply no, but seems as I haven't lived here I haven't got any mail about it.
My question would be what happens to the people in the block who own their flats like me. Surely they can't force me to sell?
Need advice or details from anyone who this has happened to. Much appreciated

he will have had letters relating to that (is that why he moved out ?)
opened and read them - perhaps addressed to 'owner/occupier'
and then binned them
Ask you neighbour for a copy of the correspondence
If the tenant has answered any of them allege fraud and or forgery
and yes as far as I am concerned yes they can compulsorily buy your flat.
