Reform Of Rehabilitation Of Offenders Act 1974

Does anyone know when the reform to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 is taking effect and is it certain it will?

My convinction will become spent after 10 years with the current Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, so it is a very long time, however with the reform it would become spent with 5.5 years time.

It was last due to be implemented in November 2013 but was cancelled - there seems to have been no date released as yet.

Will it be implemented ? Or can the governement dissmis it, or is it to late to dissmis it.

it now depends on if the government decide to re implement it, it is down to them we have no say in it. But with a general election looming the government is going to want to be seen as 'soft on crime'. My guess is we will never see it.
