I'm unsure I have much information to answer any question posed bac at me but; I've been told by someone I know that they are expecting a reorganisation where they work, and folk there are on tenterhooks as to who may lose their job.

When I said that if they lost theirs at least they'd get some redundancy pay I was told they don't believe that is so. That the 'trick' these days is to ensure the job seems to still exist but ensure it has moved location so far away it is unreasonable to expect folk to commute nor move in order to retain it. And that way the company gets around having to pay redundancy to all those they clearly have made redundant.

Is this a legal loophole companies use these days or is it an unfounded fear ?
