Rejected my ppi claim....stating that my ppi policy was suitable for me. I am arguing that although it may have or not been suitable, it was sold to me without my knowledge. I'm angry because I have made a genuine claim and I am being rejecting and those making fake claims get paid out! Whats next? Can I take this further?
>those making fake claims get paid out
Are you sure of this, phleb?
I am a little surprised at the decision in your case but I suppose the ombudsman had more facts about the case than I do
I work in a bank and believe me nearly all the claims are rejected now. Most are not missold, sadly the PPI compo band wagon rumbles on. It's is perhaps ironic that the banks now spend more on refuting claims that they would if they just paid up. Equally ironic is that many have been persuaded to claim when they have no case.
I was time out on a justified claim
and so the endowment firm was 'very sorry' that they were unable to consider the claim...
I just shrugged and thought I should read the papers more....
when it matured they had the gall to ask me if they could re invest it on my behalf. later endowments presumably they had by them clocked up so many dustry answers that it was conspicuous that they didnt ask me to re invest.
I think PP was just entertaining us with a failed- claim related storay or just saying that older claims can be timebound (PPI or endowment), although of course that doesn't seem to be the case with phleb's claim
