I thought the giving of live goldfish as fairground prizes had been banned. Is this not the case?

I think it is down to each Council if the fair is held on Council land - not a blanket ban at all.

Thanks Boxtops. Perhaps somebody should inform the Beaufort Hunt. See MoS page 25.
They hunting goldfish now ? Sorry, I don't have the paper.
Apparently if they sell goldfish "accessories" (usually food) then they are still allowed to offer fish as prizes.
