Do you mean in their line of duty or are you including travelling to work or travelling when off duty
I used to be a Postman and we were given Bus Contracts, but were only supposed to use them in connection with your Postal Duties, but unless you got a fussy driver we used to use them out of hours!!

Police Officers can use bus services in London on production of their warrant card, either on or off duty.
I have a friend who is a postman, I once saw him fork out £10 for the megabus.
