I'm not sure it will deter anyone else
Any publicity etc
My idea involving liquidised pork pies was deleted a few weeks ago but I think you get the message
so that fact that it was on film made it worse than other premeditated murders?
woof, you seem antagonistic to anything i say, so i won't add anything else to this
No, it was not too harsh.

Police should have shot them both and saved us all a lot of money. After all they don't mind tazering a blind man whose white stick they believed to be a sword.
But think of all those poor virgins.
Not all on here seem to realise that getting killed or a death sentence was exactly what these two nutters wanted. That would , in their preverted minds have ensured instant transportation to Paradise . Once in Paradise they would have a limitless supply of wonderfull food, fine clothes, and willing virgins. They would be worshipped as Heros for all eternity.
Getting caught alive must have really p*ssed them off! Now they have no way to Paradise as suicide is forbidden and natural death does not count.
90k a year to keep a maximum security prisoner, food clothing prison running costs etc then the screws wages!

We know they did it (they said they wanted to die for the cause?)

Life for a life (LETHAL INJECTION) enough said.!
Nothing is too harsh to dish out to those animals. I just hope they are reminded every day that they are there for the rest of their scummy lives.
I'm not really sure why the police didn't kill them both at the scene of the crime. I thought the rule was that you only shoot if you consider lethal force to be necessary.

More accurate shooting would have saved us all alot of time and money.
ludwig, I don't think the police opened fire at all. The murderers were armed with knives not guns and were obviously metally unstable, in that situation I do not know if the police are allowed to use shoot them. The police always 'shoot to kill' and only as a last resort ,they have to arrest them alive if at all possible.
No. I hope he lives to be a very old man and suffers every day for the dreadful crime he commited.
