Kiddies Playing Football On Estate
Just wondering if anyone will know who I can contact regarding my son and his friends playing football outside our home.
My little boy is 9 and his friends are 10 and 6 we live in an enclosed estate and they like to take their football goals outside and play football ..
they are to small to play over the local field .
Yesterday the police were called by one of our neigbours who often complain that the ball has rolled on this drive.

More fool you for combining two treats into one, a day out is one treat, you had the opportunity to save TGIF for another day to be a second treat.
Your neighbour is clearly distressed and you don't seem to give a hoot despite two visits by the police.
Have you made an effort to speak to the neighbour in question?

Yes the police have basically said that there is nothing she can do to stop them playing outside their own homes. She has basically asked for the police to stop them but the police officer has told them that she cannot do that.
Me and hubbs are keeping close eye through window. So are the other parents.

I agree that the treat day is irrelevant, it does little to put Kgrayz in a good light TBH.
I am struggling to picture the configuration of goal posts in the street and how they can't inhibit other residents freedom of movement.
Kids playing in the streets is OKish for residents who may expect to find kids in the road playing footie, but what about the courier drivers and other sundry visitors?

I thought I'd give it another go Pixie, in the hope of an answer!
Neighbourly disputes are very costly in so many ways and it is worth investing time and effort in maintaining and developing good relationships with your neighbours. From the responses received I'd have hoped that Kgrayz would have cottoned onto the fact that not everyone shares her delight in having 'kiddies' playing in the street.
