Bail conditions post-charge are initially set by the police and will be clearly stated on the charge / bail sheet, as will the date of first court appearance.
Its unlikely the court will now alter any conditions and instruct his passport be surrendered if the police haven't identified a risk of non-attendance.
If the alleged damage is valued over £5000, then its usually a matter for the crown courts & trial and could take months to start. In any case speak to the courts or solicitor asap ref the booked holiday which shouldn't be a prob.
