Racist Comments Between Two People

Whatever your views on rascism, homophobia, sexism etc, should this be illegal for two people to express their views via private texts and emails ?

Providing no one gets hurt as a result, I think every person should have the right to form their own opinion on whatever and not be penalised or shamed into having a different view. These comments were private....only others have made them public.

My granddads best mates were black and he used to go back to Jamaica with them every year so imo age is not an excuse.

Having said that....if you going to tell a controversial joke then you need to know your audience.

it is just typical of the world we live in, you cannot say or do anything without being pulled by the PC brigade. I do not think calling someone a "chink" is racist, but maybe I am just old school. people still say, if they go for a takeaway on a Saturday night, what would you like from the chinkies?, not always, but I don't think I cant say that because it is racist. my neighbours are Chinese and they use the same terminology. that does not make me a racist. How many people still refer to americans as yanks ?? is that racist, or is it that americans are not so easily offended. the world is a horrible place now with all these do gooders. too much of a nanny state nowadays, being told what to do and what to say. I do not take being called scotch as opposed to Scottish offensive, why, because I don't care, then again im not so uptight about things. people should just get on with their lives and stop analysing everything people say, like I say, all PC brigade gone mad. Then again they are purer than pure, ????
