It would seem that after months of faffing about, this enquiry into child abuse has finally creaked into action. Lets hope that it picks up speed and gets down to business without any more delay. Some of the victims of historic abuse are already dead and it would be nice to feel that the ones remaining are going to get some justice at last.

As with a number of issues, it seems to take an eternity for this Government to get its act together.

The inquiry team are looking at cases from 1970 onwards so we shouldn't really expect the interim report to land on Theresa May's desk in any hurry...

I shall post various news reports in the future, so we can see how this Enquiry is getting along. Its well overdue and I just hope its thorough enough, but with so many high-profile ex-Cabinet Ministers involved, I still fear a whitewash.
