Workers Docked Pay For Toilet Breaks !
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -wales- politic s-29932 505
I had to check that this wasn't left over from April 1st, but no, it really is true. What kind of employer penalises its workers when they go for a pee ?
Its seems that in order not lose money, it would be wise to have a catheter fitted, or maybe keep a bucket under your desk !
Unbelievably, workers do not have a legal right to go to the toilet during working hours without losing pay. Well, if that is case then there is a clear need to change the law. It shouldn't be difficult as all Parties would agree to this, even the Tories.
Us workers will be charged for breathing the companies air next.

When I was a supervisor in a call centre people were allowed 10 minutes of 'personal time' per shift, outside of normal break times. £50 seems a lot of money. The 'personal time' was often abused, as people were not going to the toilet but nipping outside for a crafty fag. Anyone who had a condition which required more than average visits to the toilet only had to tell management and extra time would be allowed. Abuse of the system leads to a crackdown which impinges unfavourably on the genuine.
