A van is parked at the end of our road. Four flat tyres but still taxed. Parked on a corner, restricting access to the road as you almost hit it when turning into the road. Still just room for a car to pass without mounting the pavement but recently an ambulance had to drive half on the pavement to pass it. Know who the owner is and she's been asked to move it but requests fall on deaf ears. Local police won't do anything - any suggestions pse ??

I thought parking within 15 metres of a junction is an offence.
Roads I think come under their remit rather than police, but thought parking within 10 metres of junction was illeagal
methyl's advice is excellent.
Try your local council. Had a van parked in our garage area for months. Police wouldn't get involved. Reported it to the council who assessed it as abandoned and gave the owner 24 hours to move it or it would be towed and crushed. He moved it.

Local council should have a facility for you to report it on line, as Edmund D said they will write to the owner giving them a date by which it must removed.
Happened in the road opposite us last year, Council removed it at 8am, owner turned up late afternoon. Don't know if he got it back or not.
