10 Year Insurance Backed Guarantee

What does "10 year insurance backed guarantee" mean?
The double glazed patio doors that I had put in the summer before last, are letting in water. And I have a feeling that the company are going to be awkward about it. They have "10 year insurance backed guarantee" written on their website, and I want to know what it means before they come to look at the door tomorrow (that's if they come at all). Thanks

Last year one of the window panels "blew" and misted up between the glass. Our so called "10 year guarantee" was provided by Homepro.
The "small print" in the guarantee said we were only covered if the company ceased to trade due to insolvency, receivership, administration or liquidation.
In our case the company that installed our windows was a 2 man company who simply had ceased trading then began again under a different name doing the same work. Fortunately it didn't cost too much to get the glass replaced.
If your company is bigger, and still trading, I would think you would be OK.
