Further To My Earlier Problem.....
1 Answers
Hi all,
I accepted my 140 hours of community service. Unfortunately, on my first day, I aggravated an old back injury (which I had told them about) and immedately went sick. My doctor signed me off for a fortnight.
The probation service have now referred me back to court for re-sentencing, and they are recommending that I am put under curfew.
I gather I will be tagged, but can anyone give me any idea how long I am likely to get? A month, two?
Thanks all.

If the Magistrates agree with their recommendation to a curfew order instead, as a very rough estimate I suggest that a curfew of three months is about equivalent to 140 hours unpaid work. But it is a very rough guess and the Bench will take into account all the circumstances before making their decision. The curfew will be enforced by means of an electronic tag and the hours of the curfew (maximum 12 hours per day) will be determined by the Bench.
