Divorce: Property Left Behind
My partner is still going through his divorce from his ex wife. He has asked her repeatedly for her to let him have things back that belonged to him but she has refused and told him that her solicitor has advised her not to give him anything else from the house, which was the marital home.
Since she has said this to him, he has been informed that a lot of property that was jointly owned or paid for by him, has been sold or thrown out without him being consulted. He cannot get legal aid nor can he afford a solicitor so he is currently unrepresented. Where does he stand with this as a lot of what has been chucked or sold was paid for by him and left behind because of the children? Can he make a claim for anything or what should he do when it comes to signing the divorce papers?
