What is the law on opening my house and/or garden to the public occasionally for a fee?

I was asked to open my garden as part of the open gardens scheme in Scotland but it presented too many operational problems with parking and disruption to neighbours...the charge was to go to charity and the org took care of all the legal stuff..if you want to do it for your own gain then public liability insurance for one and you will have to check with local authority about parking and any other local by laws probably..also consider any neighbours and how it will impact on them
