What is it about our judges that they are so gullible ?

"We've given up drinking" the defendants said, so he didn't jail the thugs.

"The court was told that both men had long histories of alcohol-fuelled offending, with ****** being fined for being drunk and disorderly just two months earlier."

I really despair sometimes. Until one of them attacks a judge it will just continue unfortunately.

Lets hope no one is seriously hurt in the meantime.

it's the sort of thing you love normally! Judges letting scum go is right up your alley. How do we know you are the real canary?

They got suspended sentences. If they find themselves before a court within the next two years those sentences will come into effect. That seems a fair incentive to stay sober, or at least stay out of trouble.
A good decision from the judge, in my opinion.

Which basically means they've been let off. They'll have to commit another crime to get punished for the one they've already committed.
