Should AB have a new topic heading, not underneath news (the graveyard which is 'Politics' and 'Current Affairs'), but a main header: Immigration/Migrant news?
I always thought that in the run up to the General Election, we should have had a specific thread area for Election questions.
How do you feel about one for Immigration?
It seems that this is of enormous interest at the moment, which could justify it as being established as a separate subject area...

SP...but then we would need a separate one for the NHS, another one for Defence, and perhaps a completely new AB for Europe !

Additionally, why not get rid of the 'Current Affairs' News subfolder (seeing as 'news' and 'current affairs' are basically synonyms, and move 'Politics' up so that it was a main heading.
That means we wouldn't need a specific 'Election' thread in future - it could be handled by 'Politics'!
These are only ideas...would be interested to see whether there is any wind behind them, or are my sails hanging limply...

I appreciate that immigration is a hot topic at the moment, but I feel that to give it a separate section will offer a level of importance that should not be attributed to any news subject simply by virtue of its popularity.
The other issue is that it could be completely dominated by those AB'ers for whom immigration is the subject they think about most - and again that leads to a lack of balance across the site.
