Just had a Charge Notice from these people. They want £85 or £50 if paid within 14 days. Hubbie went to surgery for an appointment and we think he must have put incorrect car registration on screen. I have proof that he did have an appointment and wasn't parking illegally. He was only there for half an hour, he is elderly and is not computer literate. Surgery just say we have to take this up with parking enforcers as they just rent the land and don't own car park. Should we ignore or appeal, what can these enforcers do ??

it is up to you smurfy - I am only after paying £45 for being on a buslane very inadvertently - it wasn't there 2 weeks ago.
Just letting you know cos it happened with another incident I had - the first was so much money and the more letters I received they added another £20 for the post so it goes on and on. Get rid of your angst and pay it.

Retrochic there was no money involved. Car park is in grounds of surgery. Hubbie parked, went into surgery, didnt press correct details in computer screen to prove he was there to see doctor and therefore parking legally. Everyone who parks there has to put registration number of car into computer screen inside surgery. Saw doctor. Came out after half hour. Drove out. Got ticket for parking , because they say, not under their terms and conditions. We now have copy of appointment slip. I am sending it to them tomorrow.
If you are considering writing to these people it would help if it was known just what number your husband entered into the computer, then compare it with your correct registration number. There should only be a slight variation, and if so they should accept that an appointment was being kept and that the variation was a mistake. I wouldn't send any money as this is a non-pay park for staff and 'patients'

I went along with him formhis last appointment to see what or if he did anything wrong. A photo of his car came up,he was asked Is this your car? He pressed yes. He didnt realise he had to press Yes again to complete the process, this is where he went wrong. He has proof of all appointments via slips from the surgery now which have been sent to Highview. He didnt park there illegally. Should I contact POPLA even though I have made an appeal to Highview?
