My daughter has just told me of a new eaterie that has opened near her home.As her and her husband like to try new places they tried this place but walked in and walked straight out again The staff were wearing t.shirts with the slogan
Trust me
Love me
*** me.
Can you believe this? I think it's absolutely disgusting. If I lived near there I would go and kick up a fuss.People have complained but have been told if they don't like it, to stay away which is fair enough, but I still think this is really unacceptable.Am I being an old fuddy duddy, do I need to move with the times?
Your thoughts please?
You're not being an old fuddy-duddy at all. If you don't like what you see in that restaurant, you don't have to accept what the staff are trying to do (are they trying to shock, amuse, or what?). Turn around and go somewhere else.
however you can go along to the local police and say it alarmed and distressed you ( and hubby and the dog and the cuddly toy you never go out without ) and that would bring it into the remit of the Public Order Act 1986.
I hate myself for writing every word of this advice ..... party pooper
Yes it is the F word and it's described as a family place. I can see the young ones going there as it might not bother some of them but I'm just thinking along the lines of, what is this world coming to when staff are told to wear this uniform. They get the job in this brand new place then told they have to wear this t.shirt.I think it's disgusting.
My second most hated sweary word, Barsel....but it's used all the time now in everyday language.....if it's the one I think you mean....
What can you do?.......Not a thing I suppose but no...you're not being an old fuddy duddy and if that's where the times are taking us stay in my little world with me......☺
If you were able to name the eaterie we could all (well those who don't like the word) write and say we came in to eat........ saw the T shirts and left........ ;-)
I wouldn't go in there and vent my anger at the staff as it's possible they might not be happy about wearing this uniform, but I would love to find out whose idea it was.
