Know The Answer To This

Know the answer to this but just want to be reassured I am correct.
My next door neighbour's new husband has got a van and is now parking in front of my tiny garden. I live in a cul-de-sac so no kerb - am I right in saying he can park where he likes as he is paying his tax, insurance etc.
My view is completely cut-off so what is happening and makes me sad after 33 years living here that when he goes I park my car leaving my drive free.
I do not want to be caught up in this really as it is so childish.
Reassurance please and thanks - oh forgot to say we are like open plan so when he gets out he can easily walk on my garden (Petty I know)

You wouldn't believe it but it makes me want to move.

I feel sorry for you JennyJoan, it is an inconvenience the only thing I can say to you is that if you have a driveway and no car, offer him your drive to park his car on and he can put his van on his own drive, everyone is a winner then. I know you shouldn't have to give up your drive way but its a healthy compromise and it will stop any confrontation or ill will. failing that I could steal his van for you haha just kidding!
thanks all for your advice - have done the me parking my own car in that space but like this evening I was visiting friend and didn't get home until 6.00 pm - he finishes at 5.00 the van was there so is this going to be cat and mouse game for me to get there in time before him etc
Will have to say if he were to park in front of any of the houses here he deffo would know all about it.
I am a mere oul woman.
Must say the van is annoying me.

Well popped round to see new-build - they are beautiful but all gone.
You know I am annoyed that a car is making me thinking of moving.
Went round and had a look at more cul-de-sacs here in my area - none for sale etc but very tiny cul-de-sacs and you know what - all crammed with cars - I do think it is murder-she-wrote in those culs re cars so I am having to pray the Lord's Prayer that I don't do anything stupid to his van.

I really feel sorry for you jj, it is so inconsiderate of people, especially when you want to get in and out of your own driveway without having to ask, and I don,t think its petty if he does walk on your garden, I would have to say something about that. Not much I can say to help, parking is a nightmare for everyone nowadays. We were blighted by a large van for a while, and the driver (thankfully) got the sack, so the van disappeared.
