Joan Collins on The One Show tonight, looks amazing for being 82 years old, still glamorous and talking about her writings, she always maintained she has never had surgery, I know she has professional makeup etc, but no wrinkles, how does she do it!!
Percy loves her "warts and all". I too have got a glimpse of her on a boat - paparazzi snapped her - some years ago. Her hair is extremely poor but to me personally nobody and I mean nobody can avoid "your age". You may look "good" for your age but no matter how good you appear - you still look 50ish, 60ish, and 70ish and for Joan would be 80ish.
She puts it down to not sunbathing, or rather keeping her face out of the sun. She wil have spent lots of money on facials etc. but has always claimed no surgery as she is terrified of hospitals and anaesetics.
Well, you can always tell when someone has had a face lift because they have that line between the end of their mouth and their ears. When they talk, the line "pulls" That doesn`t happen naturally. Good for Joan though.
I do admire women who do everything to look good in their later years. Good for them. My Mum looked fabulous (without any aids - just good genes) What I`m not so keen on is when famous women look great and claim that they look that way because they use expensive face creams/eat lots of brocolli/get lots of fresh air etc. They are creating impossible ideals that other women can`t live up to.
Of course she's had things done to her face. How does she manage to not have frown lines at the age of 82, while I have them at 40whatever?
She looks amazing, but I do wonder what Percy sees when she goes to bed.

Yes, I agree jennyjoan. I have a friend who is in her 70s, who looks fantastic all the time. She is like Joanna Lumley.
I think I've missed that boat by several decades already.
Never mind, where can I can I get a good botoxer to get rid of my frown lines?
