I Can't Believe How Lucky I Am Sometimes.

My husband and I have been redecorating so he's repainted the whole house, re-grouted all around the shower and even repainted the bathroom cabinets. He's put up new wallpaper here and there and we've bought new lighting for the downstairs, which he will install himself. He did a brilliant job a couple of months ago when we redecorated the master bedroom. He keeps the garden in immaculate condition all year round. When he's not decorating or gardening, he's sandblasting the drive or valeting the cars.

He would strive endlessly to make our home perfect, not only for us, but for the baby when he / she arrives.

I've left him at home today putting all the internal doors back in place, finishing the bathroom and he's even been left in charge of putting the meat in the oven and roasting the par-boiled potatoes (although I did all the groundwork for dinner last night).

I know that if he had any spare time left over, he'd iron all my clothes and put them back in the wardrobe.

He gets on my nerves at times, but I wouldn't be without him.

He'd probably not charge anything, Minty. He's helped so many people in the past and he did a lot of work on his brother's extension. He's bloody brilliant at DIY.

My husband's useless at DIY but he is good with the vacuum and a set of dusters. One has to be grateful for small mercies.

One of the reasons Mr pasta is no longer here is...he did none of those things. He did gave the endearing habit of leaving soggy towels and dirty laundry for me to collect while he took long relaxing walks with the dog.
You've got a good one there...I know you treasure him.
Maybe rent him out...?

I could, Pasta, but then I would miss him.

He's not perfect and he's got a real gob on him but he's amazing around the house and hasn't got a lazy bone in his body.

Minty - he does like broon. Actually he just likes food. I don't know where he puts it, with his long, lean legs.

My youngest Daughter is getting to a man next Sunday who is very much in the same mould, he's a fabulous baker too, no job fazes him.

I have made certain to extol his virtues in my speech.

You could probably teach my husband a thing or two about diplomacy, as I really don't think he knows the meaning of the word...

Oh Mr NM can't bake for toffee. He's cooked a couple of times but strictly to the recipe.

He told his mother the other day that I hardly ever cook for him - she just laughed because she knows he gets cooked breakfasts, packed lunches and cooked dinners every night of the week.
