(For those of you on tenterhooks!)

The settee and one of the chairs are being replaced and we an keep the current suite until the replacement arrives.

That's good.

Question Author
Thank you both.
Sounds fair Tilly.
Question Author
Thought I'd let you know, Mikey as you were so keen to see the result. :-)
Question Author
They were very accommodating, Mamya. I didn't have to cry, or stamp my feet or anything. :-)

Hopefully, that's the end of that saga.
did you find out if they'd actually made it wrong, compared with the one in the showroom?
Hope that sits well with you Tilly.... :-)
fingers crossed the replacement is suitable!

we order a king size bed, they delivered it, wonderful.
However, the mattress was a double.
Had a slight discussion with the shop who insisted it was king size mattress.
So, I got snitty and they grudgingly came out same day with a king size. Guys saw the label and they apologised.
(haven't been back to that shop since)
Who did you buy it from, Tilly? We all need to know about good companies like this
Was it cheap tat, Tilly :-)?
Question Author
Yes, Jno. It wasn't a manufacturing fault. As someone said, the one in the showroom was 'broken in' and our new one wasn't.
The replacement will probably be just as uncomfortable for a while but the cushion on the chair will be less deep. I don't mind as long as my feet don't dangle. That is uncomfortable. We are also having a different style settee.
Tilly...sounds as if I was right about the display model being "broken in" !
I wondered if that was it. I expect one in a showroom has seen a few bottoms in its time (have you thought of asking for it instead of a new one?)
Question Author
HC, it's a local independent, family run, furniture store, not a chain. If you want to shop there, you'll have to come to Bedford. :-)
Question Author
No, Jno, I hadn't thought of that. It's a good idea though. I'll ring them tomorrow and see what they say before they order the new, new one.

Good thinking!
Question Author
Oh...just mentioned that to Mr T and he is adamant that we are not having a showroom three piece.

'You don't know who's been sitting on it!'

I may have to work on him...:-)
Sounds like a very good retailer, well done.
Question Author
Thank you. They are, Corylus. That's why we always use them.
