Question About Ssi And Death

My mom passed away August 1st and she was getting ssi and she got her ssi in her bank account on August 3rd. It still sitting in her bank account. I was wondering can i use the money or do i have to give it back

Sorry for your loss. It's not your reponsibilty to pay it - unless you are executor and are paying money from and on behalf of the estate. I'm not sure what SSI is but if it's from DWP the executor should ask them. It may have been paid in arrears so was due to your mum

Mom, SSI,...definitely USA.
SSI (Supplemental Security Income) is An Amercan payment paid in arrears and is normally paid on the 1st of the month. That means a payment made in August would be for the month of July so I would say it need not be paid back.
