Talk Talk Broadband
3 Answers
2 weeks ago my talk Talk Talk broadband started to drop out. When I call them on my land line it reconnects so according Talk Talk there is not a problem. Various checks over a weeks worth of calls they tell me there is not a problem and it will be BT my land line provider. As soon as I close the line to Talk Talk the broadband drops out
BT say there is no problem with the line. What do I do apart from changing my broadband supplier ?

Change your filters and check then remove everything from your phone line and try your broadband if it works ok start plugging them back in one by one to see of you can isolate the problem

I take the view that leaving things switched on overnight or when otherwise not needed is wasteful and a potential fire hazard. Therefore I have always unplugged the router when not in use but then TalkTalk made "improvements to the service". When I contacted them to report drop-outs and very slow broadband much of the time when it was live, the outcome was that their "new, improved" system requires the router to be on constantly and uninterrupted, otherwise the system thinks there is a fault and it defaults to slow or nil broadband. Are you perhaps experiencing the same thing ? I do not know the situation with other UK providers but I might add that I regularly use internet facilities in other countries and nowhere have I come across TalkTalk's type of requirement.
