Finding A Rescue Dog

Following on from the discussion on rescuing rather than buying a puppy, here is a link to the Kennel Club rescue directory which lists all the pedigree breed club rescue organisations. If you want a rescue dog but prefer to have a pedigree breed, then most breeds have their own rescues which rehome dogs in cases where their owners have died, gone into a home, or where owners are just unable to keep their dogs for whatever reason. Obviously apart from the very popular breeds most do not have loads waiting in kennels but will take your details and if a suitable dog comes in will contact you.
