Police Arrested Me After An Accident. I ‘Failed To Provide A Specimen’ But Been Given A Notice Of Intended Prosecution?
I was arrested for apparently drink driving after I crashed into a wall.
No parties or any damage other than to my car.
I had a head injury so was taken to the hospital.
I was breatherliesed at the station. I tried to blow but couldn’t.
They said they were going to charge me for failure to provide and I was arrested. Put in a cell.
When released they didn’t charge me for failure to provide but instead gave me a sheet asking if I was be driver at the time( notice of intended prosecution) for driving without due care.
I am confused will I be charged for both crimes? Why didn’t they confirm the failure to provide (said I will be written to about it) but I was not charged at the station.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
