I'm seperating and me and my 12 year old need to move back to my property but I have my Niece renting there so I have given her notice but my Sister says I'm selfish making her Daughter homeless and had said she could live there forever and now none of them will speak to me
If your sister is horrified at the thought of her daughter moving back to live with her, - ask yourself - who is the selfish one ?
You need a home ( your own home, by the way ) more than the niece does. Her mother has a greater responsibility to the ( ? adult ) niece than you do. Your responsibility is to yourself and your child. Your sister has shown her true colours.
My goodness ... your sister couldn't care less about her sister and her niece...and the rest of the family aren't speaking to you? What charmers.....now you have seen how selfish and thoughtless they are ignore them and do what you have to do to ensure that you and your child have a safe home.....If I were you I would cut them from my life....but that is just me. Do not cave in please....stick to your guns..
Did you say she could live there forever?
If so, I can understand why everyone is upset.
Is there no way that she can share a bedroom? Even just for a little while until she finds somewhere else to live, that doesn’t involve moving back home?
Probably get better answers in the law forum but I'd suggest your rights are probably guided by the tenancy contract. It's perfectly reasonable for you to want to move back as soon as possible but I assume you aren't just slinging them out but giving them time to find alternative accommodation,
I don't know why she can't find somewhere else I would happily help as much as possible to find them somewhere else to rent and have given them plenty of time
