What Are Self Employed People Meant To Do For Income When They Are Long Term Sick
4 Answers
My brother is self employed and has not worked since Xmas as he broke a vertebrae in his neck. He has now been told the break has not healed so he has to continue wearing a collar until the hospital can operate.
He has his own home and has used savings to date to pay running costs, but he is running out of money now.
He said the state does not pay sick pay to self employed, surely that is not right? He pays a stamp just like everyone else. Sorry if I am in wrong category I couldn’t work out where to put my question.
