Are mobility scooters legally required to have insurance?
Jus applied for a rental house and they asked if I had an insurance certificate for my scooter. I don't.

We were members of the same secret society. Long cloaks and no underwear. Drank lots of potions and then tried to remember what the hell we were doing in the first place.
Oops. Said too much. Off to bed now. Nima was there too and miss. Don't let them deny it. Love you all. X

As someone who has had one for years, I've seen a few misconceptions on this thread.

As said, liability insurance is not compulsory, but a good idea. Theft insurance can be included with any household policy, but you have to advise.

8mph scooters are legal on the road but not on the pavement AT THAT SPEED. No registration plate is required, nor road tax. If registered disabled, tax is exempt anyway.

Seriously can't understand why a landlord would have an interest like that though. None of their business.

That's what
I thought. But there it was on the application form. They want an insurance certificate. I'm not a hells Angel anymore. My Bonneville was laid to rest years ago. Sad.
