Further the question below I've always known petrol in a diesel car is bad with a capital B and this was confirmed here:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?xml=/motoring/2005/08/27/mfdies27.xml
But I was also under the impression that the nozzles at garages where slightly smaller and indeed the tank openning smaller to match so the petrol nozzle is too big to fit. I have never verified this as I've never had a diesel car. Was this ever the case? Or did I misunderstand? It does seem an alarming amount cases are happenning.
