Cleaner Found With Cocaine. What To Do?

Friends found their cleaner had cocaine in her hold-all, (they opened it thinking it belonged to one of their children’s friends). They have fired her, but know that she works for other families with children. Should they inform them of the situation??

I know nothing of heroine, but I have first hand knowledge of cocaine.
Use does not automatically equate to addiction and untrustworthiness. Honestly.

In this instance for me at least 'leave her alone' means, sack her (which they have) as I wouldn't want her abusing my hospitality or possibly leaving drugs around for the children to find.

However, then spreading the word and involving the Police purely on what you saw but can't prove seems a waste of time.

If friends ask why she left your employ then tell them to ask her as you won't discuss it.

1) The police will not do a thing. They do not have any evidence whatsoever that she had cocaine. She had white powder and two straws. It could have been anything. Heck, I've got a massive bag of white powder and a whole packet of straws, but if they want to test my icing sugar they can fill their boots.
2) Unless and until it is proven it was cocaine, spreading such a rumour is daft. I'd be inclined to say nothing.
3) If asked, I would explain it on the basis of breach of trust.

We don't know that she has been sacked any more than we know it was cocaine. Could be she did not like her belongings violated and chose to leave, all speculation of course.

A bag of white powder and 2 straws? That's a Sherbert Dip, innit? Your friends may well have some trouble getting a replacement if it becomes known that they like to get nosey in other folks bags.

How about this for a conspiracy theory?
Mrs/Ms Mop is dusting round Madam's knicker drawer and finds a bag of white powder which she sniffs. It isn't Lily of the Valley,Lavender or crushed Moth Balls( poor moths). "Lordy says the char,Is this what I think it is?" Best I (a) Nick it and stash it in my knicker drawyer or (b)Take it to the local nick and tell them I am concerned that Madams kids can access this easily and best check it out.
Madam meanwhile finds her secrets stash is missing and starts searching strange bags. Lol

Okay the games up and I have to come clean .. only last weekend I was also seen with some drinking straws and white powder.
The small amount of white powder was rooting compound for some cuttings we were given .. and the straws were to vacum the ziplock bags we store our fresh veg in before freezing ... true story !
