For months.
Advertised as a chia mix but on looking at the pack recently, less than 10% is actually chia seeds.
How can this legally be right?

If it says chia mix and it has chia in it, then it's chia mix. It's not claiming to be 100% chia.
The front of the pack says "100% milled chia seeds"....
They can't be the pack that Nailit has. His pack, I presume, says 'chia mix' - otherwise where would he have got the 'mix' bit from?
....the same place he got the "less than 10%" from?
Question Author
Ive had to go and get a pack out of my cupboard to double check...

on the back it says
ingrediants
milled golden linseed 50%
milled hulled hempseed 40&
milled chia seeds 10%
Not the same pack that you linked to?

If it is then they have mislabelled the front.
^^^presumably not the same product that you linked to....?
Question Author
//The front of the pack says "100% milled chia seeds"//
have you got a different link from mine ginge?
Nailit, You say it's advertised as a chia mix. Does the pack you have say that?
Sorry, cross-posted.
Question Author
hang on everone,
All these pack look the same, just double checking...
nailit.....I simply clicked on the link you gave.....
Question Author
So you did ginge, my apologies.
Just tried to type in what Ive got here and that where the site took me.
Apologies.
Ill try a different search approach.

The manufacturer's website simply says 'Ingredients: Milled Chia (Salva Hispanica) Seeds':
https://www.naturalselectionfoods.co.uk/product/natural-selection-milled-chia-seeds-10-x-200g/

I'm wondering if it's a packaging error? It certainly wouldn't be the first: Sainsbury's had to withdraw a chilled ready meal from all of their stores nationwide after I wrote to them to point out that "Cook from chilled" appeared not only above the relevant cooking instructions but also the ones which should have been headed with "Cook from frozen". I got a voucher for a tenner for letting them know (which was particularly good as I'd only paid 50p for the meal in their 'reduced for quick sale' chiller'). So perhaps you could make some money out of the error, Nailit?

Weird, I cant find it...
Advertised as

''Natural selection''
Milled Chia mix
200g

bought from Morrisons.
But less than 10% Chia in it.

Well there always a first Chris;-)
Nailit, what do you mean 'advertised as'? If 'mix' isn't on the packet, where did you get that from?
Oh, this one then:
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/5127pKaynKL.jpg

As it says 'milled chia, linseed and hemp seeds' across the bottom of the pack it's probably within the rules on packaging.
Are you sure it came from Morrisons? Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Asda all sell a chia mix.
