No, and both Prince Philip and HM the Queen need to be more careful in future.
you can, though your car will probably bleep at you.

What will happen to you if you do may vary. I'd be wary of doing it anywhere near Sandringham, the roads are full of killer Freelanders.
jno - to be fair, there's one less than there used to be.
There has been no royal precedent!
Are you happy the fact that you have someone to snipe at?
Question Author
Snipe ? . Just responding to recent pictures in the paper .
Bhg I'm sure its already been replaced FOC. Good advert for sturdiness of a Land Rover.
Tony - indeed it has; I'd overlooked that.
Question Author
He had a new one delivered immediately, already driving it.
Journalists: Brexit will dominate the media headlines for weeks and weeks.
Prince Phillip: just hold my beer.....
Of course you can, Sparkly, and you don't need a "Royal Precedent".
There are two downsides. If you are stopped by the police you will receive a fixed penalty of £100. If you are involved in a collision you will suffer far more serious injuries if you are not wearing a seatbelt and even if the accident was not your fault insurers will almost certainly reduce the amount they pay you for personal injury because of your negligence.
Actually, SK, you can drive your car anywhere you like in the UK without wearing a seatbelt; it's just that, if you are spotted by the police, you will be given a telling-off or perhaps a fine. The difference is, if you are royal, it gets splattered all over the newspapers and the public-at-large all criticise you.

Just for the record, I always wear my seatbelt.

If phills breathtest was positive do you think the police would have pursued it ? I don't.
At least it's diverted press from Megan's bump lol
Do you think Megan's bump suits her ?
Unfortunately not. But she's not unique. I don't think what pregnancy does to their bodies suits any woman.
I suppose Phil gets some residual cover from God saving the queen but I'd buckle up anyway, just to be sure.
Bet the Royal Insurance Co are not impressed by all of this.
bhg, the Freelander is dead, long live the Freelander. Nature abhors a vacuum.
Sunday Express today interview with one of the people involved in the accident methinks jumping on the bandwagon .Driver and baby in the car treated at hospital and have not made any statements . Woman passenger with broken wrist said she paced up and down in pain fir two hours waiting for an ambulance yet man who rescued Prince Philip said police and ambulances were in attendance within fifteen minutes .
jno - you are quite right, but not quite so quick to point out my oversight as TonyV at 11:02.
