I had a phone call from a police officer this morning who said a neighbour had reported me for showing my naked backside at the window of my house. I denied this and the officer said 'what if I told you there was video evidence? I again denied it. He then said I was naked in my front garden which is definately untrue and never happened. He then said 'don't do anything' and he would be in touch. I cannot afford a criminal record as it would cost me my job. Any advice?

If you had a lack of toilet paper when performing your regrettable act I'd guess they have the dirt on you

If it didn't happen don't worry about it, there will be no evidence. If you are in the UK being naked in itself is not an offence even outdoors.
Are you sure it was the police and not a prank?
Troll?
If you didn't do it, stop worrying. There won't be any evidence and you won't get a criminal record .... as already suggested, it's probably just a prank call.
Obviously your neighbour saw the full moon.
If it's not too late a 1471 on your phone might be a good idea. How did the police get your phone number?
Directory enquiries?
Why would you be worried if it didn't happen ?
And why would police phone rather than visit ?
Sounds like someone is pranking.
Yes Theland
Sorry, I meant Piggynose
OG, I don't know if lockdown is making a difference to police enquiries.
Third what piggy and hoppy say
Good point. Nor I; but if the parcel deliver folk can deliver, and the shop workers stack shelves, I'd have thought speaking to the accused ought still be possible. Otherwise they might be postponing arrests until after lockdown ;-)
//any advice?//
put some clothes on

It was the police, they said they had the number from when I was assaulted about a year ago. Though I was not naked outside I was in my bedroom and the neighbour who reported me later shouted at me that I would 'get a visit from the police.' He seems to get the police to jump through hoops for him when they never even get back to anyone else.
So you did show your naked backside at your bedroom window then?
You won't get a criminal record unless you are convicted of something -and I don't think showing your bum in your own bedroom is a criminal offence
Munchkin did your bum get a nice tan?
Ask the police to investigate the person videoing you in your own home, without your permission.
