Lockdown Mark 2 - Travel Restrictions
3 Answers
Hi ABers, just wondering - we thought we heard or read that some travel restrictions were going to be imposed during this second lockdown, but haven't been able to find any guidance for all this. Does anyone have any idea of what these are, please.
Another question - we're all being allowed unlimited amount of exercise, but nothing appears to have been said about whether or not we're allowed to drive somewhere, away from home, to do our exercise. For the last few weeks, we've been giving the car a bit of a run out and have been doing a country walk from various beauty spots in the West Midlands - but now that it's second lockdown from next Thursday, we're not sure what to do. We very much doubt that there are going to be police patrolling the walk route (public footpaths, bridle paths, etc), but they might well be hanging around A roads between our home and the point where we start and finish the walk in whatever village we're in ....
Any ideas folks? Cheers, Chox.

"You should avoid travelling in or out of your local area, and you should look to reduce the number of journeys you make. However you can and should still travel for a number of reasons, including:
visiting venues that are open, including essential retail
exercise, if you need to make a short journey to do so"
i would presume that you already live in the west midlands and are making a short journey to do your exercise?
