There is an area in my garden that has rat infestation, i am putting 4/5 rat killer sachets down in the day and they are gone overnight.
Should i keep doing this until it is not being taken overnight?
I don't know anything about that remedy. I would advise contacting Pest Control at hour local Council. You wiĺ have to pay but my Council anyway are very thorough and efficient.
First thing to do is find what's attracting the rats and remove it. It is at least one of these three things. Food, Water or Nest.
Make sure you are putting the poison where only rats can take it and not other creatures like birds.
When I had a rat in the garden my council dealt with it free of charge. They charged for other pest removal but, because of the real health problems connected to rat infestations, they obviously wanted to encourage people to let them deal with it. So, I would phone your local council and check. They identify the rat runs and put poison down where it will not affect other wildlife.
We had a rat infestation in our garden. They were coming up from a sewer overflow pipe. The exit they were using was well hidden. Called the council, 2 chaps from pest control came round the next day, they put poison down ( we had a cat so they were extremely careful). That was it...no more rats and we blocked the pipe....we were not really supposed to do that but when asked one of the chaps told us that and the suggested how to do it with a big smile on his face...Please contact your local council and get through to pest control.
