for having people visit ?
I reported a neighbour tonight for a noise disturbance.
The police said they couldn't help with the noise issue but could assist with them having people over with the covid crisis. I didn't report that. I didnt see them attend.

No, and...

1) I wouldn't know who comes and goes from my neighbours houses as I don't spend time looking out the window

2) It's none of my business even if I did know.

3) I've never complained about noise disturbance before. One of us would pay a friendly visit.

Neither do I we hear them mostly.
Paid friendly visits and asked nicely for them to find it down. To no avail.
That would be annoying. I'll put up with occasional noise but not regular. I'd send the boys round though :-) We're not noisy either.

We are very quiet. Been going on a long time.
Is it loud music? Or loud talking/laughing?
no, i wouldn't have a clue who was visiting, but i have reported them for their noise. Nothing happened, they still continue to blight my life
What do they do?
bang about at all hours, hoover sometimes at midnight or later. spent months doing diy, you can imagine the noise, at every hour, morning and nighttime. I had contacted the council but they did nothing as per usual, oh and have screaming knock down fights in the wee hours, they are bstards.
i complained to them but got no response.
Do you think it's worse because you live in a flat?

I hear the odd bit of DIY but it's weekend daytime and only if I'm in the kitchen. I've never heard anyone vacuuming though.
i don't think it matters if i live in a flat, but they do like to have a major row, knock down screaming type ones. I don't think they have carpet so the hoovering is very noticable - but who does it at midnight. as i said they are inconsiderate morons not worth spit.
they live above me.
That's what I mean about living in a flat. I can hear my OH walking round upstairs, we don't have carpets either.
these are exceptionally noisy people. they don't give a damn what time they make noise.
i tried to be reasonable but there is a limit on what you can stand.
for the moment they are quiet, but it could all kick off in a heartbeat
That happens in families. I'm sure my neighbours probably heard loads of screaming matches between my kids over the years. Luckily they never lasted long.
these are the whole family, not just the kids.
sick of them and their firkin rows and noise.
I hate shouting. I even hate shouting people for their dinner. A lot of the time I send them all a text.
they do this with screaming and crying, banging of furniture and doors, this is mainly in the wee small hours.
