Ice Cubes In Tumble Dryer!

Am listening to radio whilst decorating and DJ was asking people to txt in the most random but true facts that they knew, and one girl txt in that if you put 2 or 3 ice cubes in the tumble dryer with your clothes they create a ‘steam’ as it gets hot and all the creases in your clothes drop out so you don’t have to iron anything! I thought it had to be a joke so I googled it and it does in fact say that.
Has anyone ever tried this?? My logic says surely it just makes your clothes wet??

Surely clothes you put in a tumble drier are wet (well damp) so there is already moisture present.

If I do ever use mine I fold the clothes carefully the second I take them out - never have to iron anything apart from the odd cotton shirt.

Tennis balls are suppose to be good in the dryer.

And if you mark numbers 1 to 6 on the ice cube sides, and see the drier roll three 6s during the process, then you win and the clothes come out ready ironed and folded !

You can get tumble dryer balls, usually some kind of plastic, but yes they make a racket.
