Tooth Problems

I broke a large lower back tooth on Friday night and it is causing my tongue to be sore. I have a dental appointment tomorrow.
This morning my tonsils are very sore and swollen and I am concerned that the dentist will take one look and refuse to treat me if he believes I have an infection.
Can tooth problems cause tonsils to swell?

Barry my two back teeth were infected and they were removed in January so you should be ok.

If you haven't got a temperature then he may well go ahead, but if you have,then dental treatment may be delayed.

Oh poo :( No temperature and feel fine apart from manky tooth and sore, swollen tonsils. Maybe he won't notice :)

Tooth decay - damage to a tooth's surface, which can lead to cavities.
Abscess - a pocket of pus, caused by a tooth infection.
Impacted tooth - a tooth did not erupt (break through the gum) when it should have.
Tooth injuries such as broken or chipped teeth.
